Baringo famine relief
The overall objective of the emergency relief assistance is to provide food and non food items to drought victims in Moinonin and Lngarua in Baringo.
The drought situation has caused massive losses of livelihood in 23 out of the 47 counties in
Kenya. The accumulated impact of the drought has increased the vulnerability of the affected populations and communities, most of whom have lost their livestock as well as human life. This has not only contributed to exhausting of the communities coping mechanisms but has worsened their status of the given that they were already suffering from extreme poverty and deprivation even before the disaster.
